The Policy Manual [988.4 kb] is a document set by Council under which staff operate.
The Policy Manual is a living document with any new policies adopted by the Council added. The Council has resolved to do a complete review of the manual after each triennial election.
The Delegations Manual [603 kb] explains who has the delegated authority to act on behalf of the Council.
The Delegations Manual includes delegations in the following areas:
- Asset Management
- Council and Community Boards
- Chief Executive
- Corporate Services
- Environmental Services
Some delegations are made in accordance with the Local Government Act 2002 or the Resource Management Act 1991 or other relevant Acts of Parliament.
