Final Proposal for the 2010 Local Body Elections
The Local Electoral Act 2001 requires Councils to review ward boundaries, the number of elected members and the need for community boards every six years.
The Council has now released the Final Proposal for their representation review after the consideration of submissions on the Initial Proposal (see information below) by a hearings panel of all Councillors.
No changes were made to the Initial Proposal by the Council as a result of the deliberations by the hearings panel. The Initial Proposal then became the Final Proposal:

Appeals must be in writing and must be received by the Council (at any Council Service Centre) by 5pm on Friday the 4th of December 2009.
These appeals will be forwarded to the Local Government Commission for their consideration and any subsequent action that the Commission may wish to take. Please clearly identify that this is an appeal to the Representation Review Final Proposal and include your name, address and a daytime telephone number. An email to the address below is acceptable.
