The Local Electoral Act 2001 requires Councils to review the number of wards, ward boundaries, the number of elected members and the need for community boards every six years.
The Council notified the Final Proposal for their Representation Review on the 4th of November 2009, with a closing date of the 4th of December 2009.
No appeals or objections to the Council's Final Proposal were received by the closing date. Accordingly, the Final Proposal becomes the basis for election at the next triennial elections to be held on the 9th of October 2010, and will continue until such time as another review is held.
