Annual Plan 2017/2018

Current location in the site

Our Draft Annual Plan for 2017/18 covers the period from July 2017-June 2018. The plan includes proposals to:

  • introduce a standard district-wide stormwater rate to replace existing rates which differ by area
  • continue to extend our footpath network
  • extend opening hours at libraries and service centres
  • provide funding for design and planning work for additional pool space at Selwyn Aquatic Centre
  • continue investment in road maintenance
  • develop a health hub to improve access to health services.

The supporting information [PDF, 1679 KB] for the Annual Plan Consultation Document (for ease referred to as the Draft Annual Plan) sets out the Council’s financial and operational plans for the next year.

Submissions/survey comments

185 submissions were received to the plan, with 241 people also completing an online survey.

Submissions can be viewed online, along with comments from the online survey.

Submission hearings are being held on Thursday 18 May 10am-8pm and on Friday 19 May from 9am at the Council’s Rolleston Headquarters. Members of the public are welcome to listen to submissions.

The final version of the plan, with any changes resulting from submissions, is expected to be adopted in late June 2017.
