Visiting Selwyn

Current location in the site

Sensational Selwyn

Sensational Selwyn stretches across the great Canterbury plains and is bounded by the mighty Rakaia and Waimakariri Rivers with Arthurs Pass National Park in the high Southern Alps to the west and the Pacific Ocean to the east.

Starting just 10 minutes from Christchurch International Airport, you may find yourself driving through our district on your way to the West Coast, Mt Cook or Queenstown, or perhaps you are spending some time with us at one of our ski fields, golf courses, wineries, B&B's, walking or biking tracks.

Whether you are staying for a long time or a little, there is so much to see and do in Sensational Selwyn.

For all the information you need on where to stay and what to see and do, visit our dedicated tourism website. Or pick up the Official Visitors Guide from Selwyn Service Centres and Libraries.
