Do you have an innovative idea on how to improve road safety in your area?

Do you want to run a local bicycle event with the message “cycling is good for your body and the planet”?

Does your community want to encourage walking to school?

Well, if money’s the problem, we can help. Yes, once again Selwyn District Council has funding available for these projects. Last year we funded many great ideas and promotions including:

• High School Road Show Crash Bash

• SADD activities

• Safety Vests for School Children

• Sober rewards promotion

• Safety vests for bus monitors at High Schools

This year we have extended the fund to promote walking and cycling for transport, health and enjoyment. This links to our walking and cycling strategy.
