CultureFest 2017 was an outstanding success

Around 3,000 people enjoyed a range of performances from 20 different ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

The crowd enjoyed food from a range of vendors each representing a different country. There were plenty of craft, games and activities including Iranian hand crafts, Mah Jong, Henna Tattoos, face painting, balloon art, highland games, Japanese traditional games and Te Taumutu kiwiana products and craft.

The turnout from Selwyn residents, performers, ethnic and cultural groups and food vendors showcased Selwyn’s growing diversity and welcoming nature for newcomers and migrants.
