Largest Pumpkin, Best A3 Poster, each awarded $500

A large pumpkinThe Selwyn Waihora Water Zone Committee and Mayor Sam Broughton are wanting to generate discussion about the water and nutrients required to make things grow. $500 is being offered to the school which grows the largest pumpkin, and $500 to the school whose student presents the best A3 poster about water and nutrient management for growing the pumpkin.

Three pumpkins have been propagated for each school. The posters will need to be completed in term one, 2018 and sent to us by the end of the term for judging. To enter the pumpkin growing competition please contact Bernadette Ryan at pumpkins@selwyn.govt.nz to arrange the pumpkin drop off.
