Council Services over Easter

Current location in the site

The following changes to Council services and facilities apply for Easter (Friday 30 March - Monday 2 April):

Council Service Centres/Libraries
Selwyn Libraries will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday, but open on Saturday 31 March with normal opening hours.
Council’s Rolleston Headquarters will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday, and reopen on Tuesday 3 April.

Waste (Rubbish, Recycling, Organics) collections
Rubbish and recycling normally collected on Friday 30 March (Good Friday) will be collected on Saturday 31 March.
Collection on Monday 2 April (Easter Monday) will occur as normal.

Pines Resource Recovery Park
Closed Friday 30 March, but open from 10am–4pm on Saturday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.

Selwyn Aquatic Centre
Open from 8am–8pm daily from Friday 30 March to Monday 2 April, with normal hours (6am–9pm) resuming on Tuesday 3 April.

Rolleston Community Centre
Closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday, reopening on Tuesday 3 April.

Lincoln Event Centre
Closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday, reopening on Tuesday 3 April.

Growing population calls for intersection upgrades

Two major intersection upgrades are underway to improve traffic flow in the increasingly busy district. The upgrades include traffic light installation, street lighting upgrades, storm water upgrades and footpath and cycleway installation.
