Irrigators on the road

Current location in the site

With irrigation season underway we want to remind rural residents to ensure their irrigators are watering the grass and not spraying onto the road.

Irrigation on roads can pose a number of safety hazards for motorists, especially motorcycle riders. This is also a waste of water.

It is important to ensure irrigators are aimed within property boundaries and are regularly checked.

If you experience spray on the road coming from an irrigation system please contact Joanne Harkerss at the Council.

If there is immediate danger to road users please contact the police.
