Rebates Scheme

Current location in the site

The Rates Rebate Scheme provides a rebate of up to $610 for low income earners who were paying rates for the home in which they were living on 1 July 2017.

Your rebate will be calculated on your household income, rates and the number of dependants.

The income eligibility for a rebate is $24,470. However, if your household income exceeds this amount you could still be entitled to a rebate depending on the total cost of your rates and the number of dependants.

Application forms for Rates Rebates are available from our service centres, or if you have access to the internet a form can be downloaded from DIA Rates Rebate website. Also on this website are some examples of rebate eligibility and a calculator to work out your rebate.

You can apply for your rebate at any of our Service Centres. You will be asked to provide accurate information about your income, and that of any partner/joint home owner who lives with you, for the tax year ended 31 March 2017.
