Lincoln Structure Plan and Stormwater Plan (ICMP/ISMP)

On Wednesday 28 May 2008, the Council adopted the Lincoln Structure Plan and Integrated Stormwater Management Plan and agreed to accommodate this in the District Plan by:

• amending Section 4 Growth of Townships (affecting the whole of the district);

• amending the policy framework specific to Lincoln; and

• adding provisions for outline development plans, new zones and staging of development.

The Structure Plan prescribes the location, type, form and timing of growth up to 2041, promotes urban design concepts, and identifies roading, cycling and pedestrian networks, open spaces, recreational areas and constraints on water and wastewater servicing.

It incorporates the findings of the Integrated Stormwater Management Plan (ISMP) and considers alternative locations for new community facilities and how commercial activities should be developed.

Community Outcomes for environmental, social, economic and cultural well-being are highlighted throughout the Lincoln structure plan – look out for the coloured block areas 7.1.8 p.21, 7.2.6 p.23, 7.3.8 p.25, 7.4.6 p.27 & 7.5.15 p.34.
