Variation No. 27
– Amendments to the Height Restrictions Surrounding the Hororata Domain
Decision Announced
The Council has accepted Variation 27 – Hororata Height Restrictions.
This decision affects both the Township and more specifically, the Rural
volume of the plan. The variation made changes to the provisions that
impose height restrictions on properties surrounding the Hororata
Domain. The height restrictions directly relate to the use of the Domain
as an airfield for recreational gliding by the Canterbury Gliding Club.
The Council has confirmed the variation with some further reductions in
the height restrictions and some clarifications, particularly to the
associated diagrams. The plan is now amended in accordance with the
decision.
