PROPOSED DISTRICT PLAN VARIATION 28
Industrial and Business Activities
First Schedule Part I, Resource Management Act 1991
The Council has issued its
final decision on Variation 28 – Industrial and Business Activities -
which made changes to the plan to manage the potential adverse effects
associated with industrial activities in all zones and business
activities in the rural zone of the District.
The Council has accepted the part of the variation that dealt with
industrial activities in all zones, along with recommended
clarifications and minor corrections.
The Council has decided to
withdraw the part of Variation 28 that dealt with the effects of other
non-rural and non-residential activities in the rural zone.
This has been re-notified as
Variation 29.
The plan is now amended in accordance with this decision.
The decision can be viewed here and

libraries.
