Naming of a Private Right of Way

Council will consider a request to name a private accessway provided it meets the following criteria:

It serves a minimum of five properties;

For an existing private accessway, the proposed name is agreed upon by all ratepayers on the private accessway;

For a private accessway that is part of a new subdivision, the proposed name is to be submitted with the application for subdivision consent.
If it meets the above criteria then the developer or applicant shall submit to Council for consideration a minimum of three road names ordered by preference and a brief reason why these names are preferred.
