Draft Plan Change 15
Lincoln Retail Distribution
The Council has prepared this draft plan change to ensure that the District Plan sustainably manages the distribution of retail activity in Lincoln township. In particular, the draft plan change is designed to ensure that significant adverse distributional effects on the town centre are avoided whilst also providing for a range of retail activities to establish in Lincoln township to meet the needs of the community.
Consultation
Consultation on draft Plan Change 15 will be in two stages. The plan change is currently in draft form and as such we are seeking comments on the proposed amendments to the District Plan. The consultation period on the draft plan change will be open until 5pm Friday 27 November 2009.
After these comments have been integrated into the Plan Change, the next step will be to formally notify it as a Plan Change. In this stage, anyone may submit written arguments, supporting or opposing the plan change. These submissions must be made in accordance with the requirements of the Resource Management Act 1991.
