Road Safety

Current location in the site

Selwyn District Council employs two Co-ordinators for Road Safety.


Duties involve:
promoting road safety education and awareness.

  • assisting with community initiatives towards sustainable transportation (e.g. cycleways, walkways, walking school bus, car pooling, public transport, etc.).

  • assisting with community and local police road safety initiatives, and

  • reporting to the council about local road safety and sustainable transportation issues and concerns.

Their current and forthcoming projects include:

7.   Chaos at the School Gate
