Current location in the site
This council is responsible for 12 reticulated wastewater systems, including 26 pump stations and 7 wastewater treatment and disposal plants, that service 3,421 properties.
These wastewater schemes have a replacement value of approximately $41.4m (excluding land value). The total length of the reticulation is 140Km, varying in diameter from DN50 to DN400. Details of these schemes are provided in the Waste Water Activity Management Plan below.
Eastern Selwyn Sewerage Scheme
Council have completed an Assessment of Environmental Effects for the proposed Pines II wastewater area at Burnham School Road, Rolleston - Canterbury. The AEE documents are now available.
West Melton Sewerage Scheme
In addition to the waste water management systems outlined below, a sewerage system is also being developed for West Melton, with a privately funded and owned pipeline connecting the West Melton system to the council-owned treatment plant at Rolleston.
