Mahoe Reserve Lincoln
Mahoe Reserve will be restored to a healthy indigenous ecosystem, highly valued by the community
Mahoe Reserve evolved from a project started in 2002 by year 9 students at Lincoln High School. Planting began in 2003 and since then 4000+ native trees, shrubs and grasses have been planted with the dedication and hard work of the students, staff, and recently members of the community, including the Kindergarten, Guides and local youth groups. The Reserve is managed by the High School environmental group (LEO), Lincoln Envirotown Trust (LET) and Selwyn District Council, in conjunction with Lincoln University and Landcare Research Ecologists.
