Castle Hill Creative was set up as a volunteer group to host the Biennial Easter Art Weekend - now in its 8th year. This is an Art exhibition featuring a variety of High Country influences by local artists from our surrounding our village, plus workshops for adults and children.
Main activities and services
All are original artworks and will be available for purchase. The village and surrounding area will also host accompanying workshops in which visitors, both adults and children, can participate over the two days. See the website for full listings and times.
Main exhibition held in the Village Hall, & workshops in and around the village available:
Photographic trail (likely to be earlier morning for best light), Ecological tour, and several artistic and craft workshops for adults and children - felting, craft, fabric arts, beading and zentangle. Run in conjunction with Selwyn District Libraries.
Coffee and cake served, and exhibition entry is by gold coin donation. The workshops are run on a 'workshop ticket' format for $4 for a workshop - can be bought from the exhibition. The exhibition will have Eftpos available.
