Summer in Selwyn
Summer in Selwyn is back with over 60 sizzling summer events from December until February.
Our handy events guide can be downloaded here or pick one up from your local Selwyn library, sports or community centre.
Whether you’re eight or 80, there is something for everyone!
Roller skating, kite flying, outdoor movies and picnics are all on the way this summer with popular favourites like the Teddy Bears’ Picnic and Summer Pool Parties also coming back.
The fun starts on Friday 2 December with an outdoor screening of The Muppet Christmas Carol movie in Leeston, while customised skateboards will be up for grabs the following weekend at the opening of the Rolleston Town Centre Youth Space on 11 December.
New activities this year include Jump and Juggle bouncy castles at the Selwyn Sports Centre on 20 January, and a chalk art competition in Lincoln, West Melton and Rolleston.
Plenty of other fun sport, library and recreation events at Council facilities too.
