Margo and Rosa Flanagan
Margo and Rosa Flanagan are sisters from Selwyn. They now successfully own a business together called Two Raw Sisters.
Their passion came from their own health issues that got them into food and making the food nourishing and a priority.
From their experience, their passion is now educating people to live healthier lifestyles by increasing more plants in their diets.
Passion for Bowls
Emily Robbins' passion is sport through and through, but her main passion is encouraging people to give sport a go!
Emily works for Bowls Canterbury as well as being a group fitness instructor. If you’ve always been intrigued by bowls and maybe looking for a new sport to try, tune into this podcast.
If you’re passionate about working in the community to inspire people to get active, Emily will definitely inspire you.
Passion for St John
Julie Gillespie is a passionate and dedicated Youth Leader for St John Youth in West Melton.
She started volunteering at the age of six and loves the opportunity to volunteer to give back.
She’s had a lot of experience volunteering and is definitely passionate about youth getting involved with St John.
Outside of her volunteering passion, Julie is currently studying for a Masters of Environmental Science (Soil Science) at Lincoln University.
Passion for weddings and events
Born in the Philippines, Cristene came to New Zealand as a teenager, but it was as a child that she discovered her passion for weddings.
Cristene had a best friend whose mum had beautiful flowers and did floral arrangements with roses and orchids. Cristene loved looking at the flowers and all the floral arrangements.
Coming to New Zealand, she saw the film The Wedding Planner starring Jennifer Lopez and knew, that planning weddings was what she wanted to do.
Always showing a special gift for event organising at school, Cristene said that this is what led her to follow her passion into event management and wedding planning.
Passion for football
Reece is currently studying a Bachelor of Commerce (Agriculture) at Lincoln University. He is a future leader’s scholar which involves supporting other students to be leaders in the community.
Reece has a passion for football. He plays for Selwyn United 1st division team and works with younger footballers in a coaching role.
Last year, as part of the under 19 football squad Reece took part in a three-week tour of Australia. He was given the opportunity to trial with the English Championship team West Bromwich Albion, in Birmingham, England
Passion for empowering girls
As a youth leader for Girl Guides in Lincoln, Victoria has a huge passion for volunteering, especially providing young females with a positive role model and helping to inspire girls to be the best that they can be.
Outside of Girl Guides, Victoria works at a commercial construction company in Christchurch as a production coordinator.
Victoria has travelled overseas where one of her jobs was as a nanny in France oui! Victoria grew up on a dairy farm in Selwyn then moved to Auckland to complete her BA, double majoring in History and European Studies.
Passion for Photography
Matthew is studying postgraduate studies in photography at Ara Institute of Canterbury in Christchurch.
He has a particular in interest in photographing nature including an interesting project he was involved in at Kaikoura taking photos of the New Zealand Fur Seal.

Passion for Agriculture
Caitlin is in her second year studying for a Bachelor of Agricultural Science at Lincoln University through the Future Leader Scholarship.
She has many passions, however her main passion is for the family farm in Ballerate, Australia, and the rare Dorset Horn sheep the family has been breeding since 1931.
Passion for Volunteering
At just 21 years old, Matt is the Vice President and treasurer of the Student Volunteer Army at Canterbury University, Christchurch all while working towards a double degree in commerce and mechanical engineering.
He loves to work with people in the community and has a passion for problem solving.
Matt is originally from Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland but chose Christchurch to study because of the awesome student culture!
Passion for Fashion
Shannon studied Fashion Design in 2010 at AUT - Auckland University of Technology, majoring in Menswear.
She lived in London for a number of years after graduating, where she undertook internships for international fashion designers.
This opportunity enabled her to help design collections that were shown at both the London and New York Fashion weeks!
Shannon returned home after two years and in 2017 started her own label right here in Christchurch, her first runway show was at the Vancouver Fashion week.
Passion for Cinematography
John Ross, has been a cinematographer for the past four years. John is a member of the New Zealand Cinematographers Society where he frequently contribute articles. Last year he picked up a silver award for a commercial shoot Disciple of Discipline.
John has recently returned from completing a Technodolly (robotic crane) course to help him further his passion to work on movie sets in the near future.

Passion for Conservation
Jodanne Aitken is studying for her post graduate diploma in Nature Conservation at Lincoln University.
Jodanne was the president for the Lincoln University Tramping and Climbing Club in 2019 and 2018 and she is still on the executive board for this.
Jodanne should have been in Nepal and Germany undertaking a nature conservation internship, however, due to COVID-19, Jodanne is now in Nelson studying with the Kea Conservation Trust.
Outside of studies, Jodanne has a massive passion for being in the outdoors.
Driven to Draw
Anton Phillipson always has had a passion for drawing. His parents both had a passion for cars so he started drawing cars.
In his early teenage years, Anton started drawing cars and posting his drawings on Facebook. The exposure on Facebook has led to a small side business for his artwork which has led to meeting some very successful people and seeing their amazing cars.
He now works for Archibald’s at their Christchurch dealership with Jaguar, Land Rover, Porsche, Volvo and Audi.
