New dog park planned for Leeston

A new dog park is planned for Leeston and is expected to be ready in the spring time.

A 1.8 hectare dog park is planned in the area of Council land between the entrance to the A & P Showgrounds and the land leased to the Ellesmere Heritage Park. The area will be fenced and will include planting, dog exercise equipment and a small pond. The project to establish the new park has been promoted by the Leeston Township Committee.
