The Canterbury District Health Board has health warnings in place for Lake Ellesmere.

Services/Facilities

Water Race disruptions June-August 2017.

Foster Dog Park is closed for off-lead dog exercise Sat 1 July 8am-4.30pm for a dog obedience competition.

Community Halls/Facilities

The foyer of the Sheffield Hall and part of the Springston Hall have been temporarily closed after Selwyn District Council received Detailed Engineering Evaluation (DEE) reports on the halls. The Sheffield Hall was closed from this report, but has re-opened except for the entry foyer.  The newer amenities block attached to the main Hall at Springston will not be closed and can remain available for use.

There are a small number of other community facilities which have been closed as a result of earthquake damage. Please check community hall/centre listings for more information on this.
