On the Roads This Week

Current location in the site

For the week starting 29 May

Construction of a temporary unsealed footpath is planned on the north side of Birchs Road in Lincoln.

Road widening work is continuing on Jones Road between Weedons Ross Road and the Lyttelton Port Company until mid-June. The road will remain open, but may be reduced to one lane at times with traffic delays expected. Maddisons Road is suggested as an alternative route at peak times.

Sewer line installation continues on sections of Hamptons, Shands, and Selwyn Road to the intersection of Springston Rolleston Road. There may be a reduction down to one lane on these roads with traffic delays possible.

Christchurch Southern Motorway extension

There will be changes to the traffic setups on both Weedons Ross Road and Weedons Road over the next couple of weeks. The one-way system remains on Waterholes Road from Hamptons Road to 833 Waterholes Road running south towards Robinsons Road with detours in place, with changes to the road alignment to allow for construction of the bridge. Please be alert to changes in the traffic management, follow the on-site signage and drive to the conditions.
