Do you pay your rates by direct debit?

Recently the Council sent out letters to those who use the direct debit service. Unfortunately, due to a problem with our processing system, the letters were delayed and only gave short notice of the change in rates payments to those who use the service, and showed an incorrect date and rating year.

We understand the frustration this short notice period would have caused to ratepayers, and we apologise for the inconvenience. It was our intention to give everyone sufficient notice of the change in direct debits, to ensure a stress-free transition into our new rating year.
