Building Consent Granted
In this section
What happens after your building consent is granted
Following the checking that your building consent documentation is complete, a decision will be made on whether to grant your building consent
We'll let you and your nominated contact know that your consent has been granted or otherwise, along with the fees due for your building consent
Your consent will be released after all fees are paid in full
You'll receive a copy of your consented documents, which will state any conditions that you need to meet before you can start building
If your building consent has no outstanding conditions you are free to start your build - however a public building occupied during building work will need a certificate of public use
Building work should start within 12 months from when your consent was granted - where work is not started within this time period your building consent may lapse after the 12 month period |
