About the private plan change

On 10 November 2020 Four Stars Development Limited and Gould Developments Ltd lodged a private plan change request with the Council. The request seeks a change to the Operative Selwyn District Plan by rezoning approximately 53 hectares of current rural land in East Rolleston to residential land. This would enable approximately 660 residential sites.

Update 30 July 2021 - Submissions Closed

Public submissions on Plan change request 71 closed at 5pm on Wednesday 29 July 2021. The submissions will be made publicly available in due course. Once submissions have been summarised, the period for further submissions will be notified.

Update 30 June 2021- Public Notification

Private Plan Change 71 was accepted for notification at Council’s meeting on 26 May 2021.

The private plan change request will be publicly notified in the Selwyn Times newspaper and the Rolleston News on 30 June 2021.

Any person may make a submission in support of or opposition to the private plan change request, or any part of it.

Submissions close at 5pm Thursday 29 July 2021.

Update 24 May 2021- Council Meeting

Plan Change request 71 (PC71) will be considered for notification by Council at their meeting on 26 May 2021.

Update 12 May 2021- Applicant Response

The applicant has provided the following additional information in response to Council’s  request for further information

The application is now considered complete and it will be taken to Council for a decision whether to: accept the application for notification; adopt the application as a Council plan change; or reject the application. If Council decides to accept or adopt the plan change it will be publicly notified and opened to submission.

Update 16 March 2021- Applicant Response

The applicant has supplied the following response to Council’s request for further information. The information will now be reviewed, and once the application is complete it will be taken to Council for a decision whether to: accept the application for notification; adopt the application as a Council plan change; or reject the application. If Council decides to accept or adopt the plan change it will be publicly notified and opened to submission.

Update 2 February 2021- Council assesses application for completeness of information

The Plan Change request has been reviewed for completeness, and a request for further information has been issued.
