There are two campgrounds in Selwyn District, plus numerous reserves on which camping is permitted.

Chamberlains Ford Recreation Reserve

Location: Leeston Road

Toilet facilities available at both the west and eastern sites
Water is available but do not drink.

Coe's Ford

Location: The Lake Road/Pannetts Road

Key Activities: Camping, fishing, picnics, casual recreation, conservation
East camping area open all year round (will be closed if flooding occurs from Selwyn River)
West camping area closed for vehicle access during winter months as part of a grazing lease. Foot access is still available
Charge: No fee
Booking: Not required, spaces available on a 'first-in, first-served' basis.
Toilet facilities available at the east, west and south sites
Water is available but not to drink
