The Rolleston Community Centre – a community focused multi-purpose venue

Rolleston Community Centre – a new focus as a community arts and youth hub.

There’s an exciting new chapter ahead for Rolleston Community Centre – as we shift our focus towards providing space for community arts and youth activities from early 2022.

Many activities previously held here are now relocating to new facilities including the Selwyn Sports Centre and Te Ara Ātea (opening in November 2021). This opens up exciting new possibilities for the centre.

A recent analysis identified a need for more community arts space, and catering for a growing youth population will also be an important part of the centre’s evolution.

Selwyn District Council invites Expressions of Interest from groups or individuals who would like to use the centre for community activities such as music, dance, crafts, theatre, art, painting, sculpture and other activities, from early 2022.

Expressions of Interest are open now and close at 5pm, Sunday 15 August 2021.

Visit the Expressions of Interest page to find out more about what’s proposed and how you can express your interest in using the facilities from 2022.

Until November 2021 the Rolleston Library is co-located in the same building.
