Community Road Safety Fund
Do you have an innovative idea on how to promote, educate or improve road safety for the children and young people in the Selwyn District?
Then we may be able to help – Selwyn District Council has a Community Road Safety Fund for small projects and initiatives developed by local schools, community groups or individuals.
“Not for profit” organisations in the Selwyn District that can apply include, but are not limited to;
Schools
- Community groups
- Childcare centres
- Parent groups
- Service groups
- Youth groups
- Health organisations
Important information you need to know
- Applications can only be accepted on the Community Road Safety Fund application form [PDF, 115 KB]
- Grants of up to $500, including GST, can be considered
- The project must be completed in the Selwyn District and be for local residents
- Capital items can not be funded
Process to gain funding
- Contact the Road Safety Coordinator to discuss your idea and whether it will meet the criteria
- Request, complete and return the Community Road Safety Fund application
- Your application will then be reviewed and a final decision made
- If it is approved, a short evaluation of the project will be required within one month of the activity being completed
