Watch this space! We will be up and growing soon!

ReNourish is a community garden with a twist.

ReNourish is a part of the wider ReConnect Project at the Pines Resource Recovery Park. ReConnect aims to bring people together to rethink waste and provide the Waikirikiri | Selwyn community with sustainable and practical alternatives.

At ReNourish Community Garden, we focus on using resources wisely and repurposing, recycling, and recovering materials for beneficial use. You'll see all sorts of repurposed items and materials used in a variety of ways as you wander through. You'll also see compost demonstrations, along with other methods of turning 'waste' into a valuable nutrient medium for growing fantastic produce.

Connection
ReNourish is a place to connect and build friendships with others, to kōrero, to establish a sense of community, and to share kai.

Education
ReNourish is a place for sharing knowledge, skills and experience, a place where the next generation of gardeners can learn from experienced gardeners.

With a focus on education in the garden and creative gardening ideas on display — anyone walking through will become inspired! ReDiscover, our education centre, is immediately adjacent and provides a space to further connect through workshops and evening get-togethers, such as learning to preserve fruit and vegetables, how to harvest and store vegetables and herbs for a longer shelf life and less food waste, composting courses and Love Food Hate Waste workshops.

For everyone
We aim to make the garden as accessible and welcoming as possible to create a place for everyone.

Stage one: initial boundary planting.
We will begin the garden by planting an edible hedge full of fruit trees. The foundations of a food forest will be established, as well as the beginnings of a herb and tea garden.
Then it’s over to the community. Get in touch to register your interest!
