My principal place of residence is in the Springs Ward area.

Springston resident for 30 years and current elected Councillor I have a proven record of working alongside community groups, speaking up for the residents of the Springs Ward and advocating for local projects.

Standing for re-election I would like to see the following completed, Lincoln Town Centre redevelopment, new Prebbleton hall, Springston public toilets, Selwyn Huts wastewater upgrade and Council's District Plan review under the Resource Management Act.

I have a passion for Council supporting community development, environmental management and land drainage for our rural community. While Selwyn's growth story is a success, rate increases need to be managed for those on fixed income, families and businesses with mortgage commitments, so we can enjoy the benefits of living in Selwyn.

Supporting my suitability, I have knowledge of local issues, local government experience and education. I am a Resource Management Act commissioner and hold NZ Institute of Directors membership. Email

My principal place of residence is in the Springs Ward area. I am also standing for Canterbury District Health Board.

I am seeking re election as I would like to continue to represent the people of Springs Ward. I am passionate about preserving the best that this area offers, while embracing the opportunities created by growth.

Over the past three years as Deputy Mayor I have worked hard to secure funding for local roading upgrades and township and community projects (including a new community hall/centre for Prebbleton, new recreational space for this ward, the Lincoln Town center master plan)

I would like to see the township and community projects through to completion.

The local roading upgrades are under threat due to changes in central govenment policy. I want to ensure that the roading upgrades are funded as agreed and completed, as they are desperately needed.

If re-elected I will continue to be a strong voice who has effectively advocated for the people of Springs Ward.

I have been privileged to represent you for the past 2 terms of Council. I have focused on representing not only your local interests but also the wider interests of the Selwyn District.

Selwyn and Springs Ward have grown significantly since the earthquakes. I have advocated for and delivered community infrastructure to support this growth.

One of my passions has been advocating for and planning the Selwyn Health Hub.

Rating levels and rates affordability are a key consideration.

In my view a reliance on rating as the sole source of funding for Selwyn District is ultimately unsustainable. I have been part of a committed effort within Selwyn District Council to develop alternative income streams to assist in minimising rate rises both now and into the future.

I am committed to seeing both the Springs Ward and Selwyn District grow and prosper in a sustainable way.

Thank you.

If elected I undertake to be fair, honest and a clear decision maker. My favourite saying is you have two ears, two eyes and only one mouth for a reason, to listen, to have vision and a balanced voice.
