Moral Compass is an outdoor education initiative, designed to teach hunting and survival skills. It is also a mentoring programme, developing essential character traits to survive and thrive through life’s challenges. - The purpose is to advance education and offer support to young people in a supervised, safe, caring and positive environment for young people. We also intend on improving the physical and psychological well-being of young people who may be struggling academically, or on a personal level, through an outdoor program. We will work towards providing outdoor education and recreational opportunities to educate our youth about life skills and resilience and improved mental wellbeing.

Main activities and services

Our program will work with local alternative education providers and community groups dealing with disadvantaged youth to take these young men and women (aged 15-25) out on day excursions to local farms and stations, within a structured outdoor experience with highly-trained adults, with the aim to teach them valuable skills such as hunting, fishing, tracking and Basic survival skills. With follow up from our instructors with talks and our money coaching modules. Along with teaching practical skills, Moral Compass is designed to give hope to struggling youth and show them there is more to life than fast food, alcohol and peer pressure to do things that can harm their physical and mental wellbeing. The aim is to help them develop their moral compass so they can begin positively building towards their future
