FLUSH YOUR TAPS

Some plumbing fittings have the potential to allow minute traces of metals to accumulate in water standing in the fittings for several hours. Although the health risk is small the Ministry of Health recommends that you flush a mugful of water from your drinking-water tap each morning before use to remove any metals that may have dissolved from the plumbing fittings. We are recommending this simple precaution for all households, including those on public and private water supplies. This notice is issued by Selwyn District Council on behalf of the Director-General of Health, Ministry of Health

PROPOSAL TO RECLASSIFY RESERVE LAND

Pursuant to Section 24(2)(b) of the Reserves Act 1977, the Selwyn District Council is proposing to change the classification of approximately 248 square metres of Recreation Reserve at the Prebbleton Reserve, Tosswill Road, Prebbleton being the lands described as Reserve 3996 Gazette 1979 Page 3081 held in Record of Title CB672/23; and, Part Rural Section 1488 Gazette 2008 Page 1647 held in Record of Title CB5D/36.

The area of re-classification is split across six (6) different areas within the Reserve which either contain existing water infrastructure, or, are proposed to have additional water treatment infrastructure added.

Tender is sought for a Licence to Occupy the below land for a term of 4 Years from the commencement date. The land is 1.2303 hectares and situated at Taumutu Road, Southbridge. INTENTION TO GRANT A DEED OF LEASE – BEALEY PIT

Pursuant to Section 61 of the Reserves Act 1977, notice is hereby given of an intention to issue a Deed of Lease to Southern Screenworks Limited for the term of seven years with two rights of renewal of seven years each, over approximately 2.9ha of land, being a Local Purpose Reserve legally known as Reserve 1038, held in Certificate of Title 923359, commonly known as Bealey Pit, for the purposes of industrial yard. Any person objecting or submitting to this proposal can do so in writing until 5pm Thursday, 13 May 2021.
