Members of the Malvern Community Board represent the Malvern Ward and are elected every three years at the time of the Local Body Elections.

The Malvern Community Board will meet monthly on every fourth Thursday at 2:30pm, in the Darfield Library Meeting Room 1B, until July after which the frequency of meetings will be reviewed.

Members of the public are welcome to present any issues or concerns to the Board at the start of each meeting. Please contact board.secretary@selwyn.govt.nz if you wish to speak at a public forum. Meetings of the Malvern Community Board are public meetings, and any member of the public is welcome to attend.

Community Services Awards

Do you know of anyone whom you consider deserves to receive an award for their outstanding voluntary service to the community?

The Malvern Community Board wishes to invite nominations for their Community Services Awards.

The awards acknowledge and recognise service of a voluntary nature given by a resident of the Malvern Community Board area, or a non-resident who performs their service to the betterment of this area.

Categories of service include recreation and sport, youth activities, aged, welfare, educational service, innovation, cultural, religious and community affairs.

Organisations, associations, societies, clubs or individuals may make a nomination.

Nomination forms

Nomination forms are available from the Darfield Service Centre / Library, 1 South Terrace, Darfield, or by contacting any Board member or the Board Secretary. You can also find the nomination form below, along with the Community Service Award Guidelines.

The closing date for nominations is Friday 28 August 2026.
