These days are a great chance to clean up your shed, backyard and garden and drop-off garden waste, scrap metal, tyres, child car seats, electronic waste and mixed recycling (plastic bottles and containers, paper, cardboard, steel and aluminium cans, and glass bottles and jars) to a local collection point.

Garden waste: 

$5 per car, $10 per ute or single axle trailer, $15 per twin axle trailer.

Tyres:

$3 per car tyre, $5 per 4WD tyre (tyres on rims will be charged double).

Child car seats:

$15 per seat.

Electronic waste:

$4.50 per flat screen TV or monitor, $10 per CRT. All other e-waste free of charge.

  • Flattened, clean cardboard and paper
  • Empty and clean, no lids:
    • Plastic bottles and containers (numbers 1-7)

We don't accept general rubbish, flax or cabbage tree leaves, trees/branches over 10cm in diameter, gas bottles, items containing oil/fuel, tyres covered in dirt, polystyrene, soft plastic/plastic wrap, window glass/crockery or hazardous chemical containers.

Please separate different waste streams. Only household amounts will be accepted. Please ensure you are able to unload your own materials into the bins provided upon arriving. Cash only (no EFTPOS). A donation will be made to a local not-for-profit organisation for their support with this event.

Dates and locations:

Malvern: Saturday 23 November, 10am-4pm. Hawkins Pit, Darfield - entry off Cullens Road, east of Bangor Road. Ellesmere: Saturday 2 November, 10am-4pm. Cemetery Pit, Southbridge Leeston Road.
