Friends of Te Ara Kākāriki Meeting: July 22nd 7pm at Lincoln University.

Guest speaker Nicola Toki will discuss green opportunities for Canterbury in a post Covid world and the role that community groups such as Te Ara Kākāriki can play.

Public Planting Events with Te Ara Kākāriki:

  • Stackwoods Bend/Old Tai Tapu Road: Sunday 23rd of August
  • Plant out day - Lincoln and Tai Tapu: Saturday 5th of September
  • Plant out day - Springfield: Sunday 20th of September
  • West Melton: Saturday 3rd of October

Conservation Week/Te Wiki Tiaki Ao Tūroa

The dates for this year's Conservation Week are 15-23 August. The Department of Conservation has a number of activities and events with the key focus on learning about nature, taking part in activities online, and in our own backyard.
