After being collected from the kerbside, your recycling is transported to a Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) where it is sorted, processed and transported to various national and overseas processing plants. These processing plants then recycle the materials into new products.
EcoSort - MRF Selwyn's kerbside recycling is sent to the EcoSort MRF in Christchurch. EcoSort processes a significant portion of Canterbury's recycling.
