Scope of Work

Targeted sediment removal works will be carried out at two locations along LII River / Ararira as depicted below (refer Areas 1 and 2). The works include mechanical removal.

What to expect

During this period, the public may notice:
  • Machinery operating in and alongside the river
  • Increased truck movements removing excavated material
  • Temporary access restrictions along sections of the river corridor

When

Works are expected to commence in the week starting 15 June 2026 and continue until all work areas are completed, subject to weather and river conditions.
Working hours will typically be Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 6:00pm.
🚧 Please expect temporary unformed fisherman track closures and river access restrictions within the work areas shown on the maps - warning signage will be in place.
