The Tool Library will have a range of hand tools that you can borrow for home projects. This helps to avoid purchasing tools that you need for a one-off project, or that you may hardly ever use.

For example, a wheelbarrow – you might only need it once per year. What is the point in owning one? Borrowing a tool reduces consumption – which avoids waste generation during the extraction of minerals to make the item, the emissions and wastes during manufacturing and transporting the item, and then the disposal of the item at the end of life. At the same time, it reduces costs to our community and saves on storage space at home.
