Upcoming waste and recycling events happening in the district.
- Our Programmes
ReDiscover is located at Pines Resource Recovery Park, just outside Rolleston.
We provide free on-site and outreach waste minimisation and sustainability education for all.
Our on-site programmes make use of our unique teaching environment at Pines Resource Recovery Park and provide place-based learning within a working resource recovery park and large-scale composting facility.
Our outreach programmes provide you with the opportunity to investigate waste management and reduction practices in your own environment.
All programmes can be expanded upon or tailored to suit your groups needs and inquiries.
Programmes are hands-on, interactive and New Zealand Curriculum aligned but importantly they feature solutions-based activities to inspire and leave a positive impact on our planet.
ReDiscover is apart of a larger waste minimisation hub, The ReConnect Project. The ReConnect project is home to a ReUse shop and a community garden.
Our meticulously crafted programs align with the Waste Hierarchy – focusing on 'Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Recover,' while incorporating the innovative Circular Economy concept. Through these frameworks, we provoke discussions about present and future economic systems.
