Information on free onsite and outreach waste minimisation and sustainability programmes for schools and community groups across the Selwyn District.

Who are we?

Welcome to ReDiscover, we are a dedicated and passionate team committed to reconnecting with our earths resources.
Our programmes are free and crafted to encourage waste minimisation and champion sustainability for schools and community groups across the Selwyn District.

Our programmes aren’t just educational – they’re adventures! Delve into hands-on, interactive experiences designed for all ages.

Journey with us to Pines Resource Recovery Park, where our on-site programmes transform learning into an immersive experience. We welcome primary, intermediate and high school ākonga to explore this unique learning space, while community groups can follow one of our prepared programmes or tailor sessions to suit their requirements.

For our youngest eco-warriors, our outreach programs for early childhood learners encourage tamariki and your kaimahi to discover the wonders of waste management in their very own classroom.

Our meticulously crafted programs align with the Waste Hierarchy – focusing on 'Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Recover,' while incorporating the innovative Circular Economy concept. Through these frameworks, we provoke discussions about present and future economic systems.
