The word ‘democracy’ means ‘people power’. Democracy means you can have a say in the types of services we offer, the future of our District, and how we use the resources we have.

Voting is a great way to have a say. You can vote for councillors and mayor every three years.

Council manages local infrastructure like roads, waste, parks and reserves. As well as community facilities like libraries, sports centres, and pools. Council will advocate for our District.
