We are looking for an empathetic self-motivated person that has an interest in youth development. You will need strong interpersonal skills be fun, flexible, patient, trustworthy, and animal lover and love seeing people achieve no matter the goal.

Purpose of the role.

To spend 3-4 hours a day from 2.30– 6 pm with a young teen with a disability, with the potential for one overnight per week.

There will be an hour before the young person gets home from school for you to help with any household task that needs to be done like: bring in washing, fold washing, unpack/pack the dishwasher, light fire, prep dinner and general tidy.

It would be great if you would be available during the school holidays and some weekends to be more available during the whole day and planning activities and things of interest for them both. The objective is to support the young person to start to help develop new life skills and interest. Have lots of fun doing things that bring joy and laughter to them.

What they enjoy: Animals, swimming, music, Ipad, you tube, arts and crafts.
