Frews Contracting is a third generation family owned business that has been operating since 1921, making them one of the oldest and most experienced contractors in the South Island. Pro- viding solutions for Canterbury’s most complicat- ed projects for nearly 100 years, Frews Contracting has earned a reputation for excellence. Over time the business has diversified, and now offers a range of services.

Frews have even utilized helicopters and cranes to complete their more complex projects. Hand-in-hand with this work, is their proficiency in civil and rural work. Frews Contract- ing specialise in ground remediation, site-works, landscaping, carparks, and driveways, alongside expertise in trenching, irrigation, farm tracks, stump removal, and land clearance. With their range of modern plant and specialist attachments, Frews provide cost-effec- tive and creative solutions.

Core Products and Services

Our contracting services range from Demolition, Civil and Siteworks, Cartage, and Ground Contamination Remdiation. Our Supply Yard stocks a wide range of quality recycled demolition materials including crushed concrete and various aggregates. A range of materials can also be dumped at one of our supply yards. We accept: Hardfill, clean concrete, greenwaste, and mixed construction waste. Frews also have a rural quarry out at Hororata used for gravel excavation and cleanfill dumping.
