We are a charitable trust that drive the elderly and housebound to appointments in the Selwyn and the city area. Our Community Care organisation (one of four in the Selwyn area) covers Rolleston, West Melton, Weedons, Dunsandel and Templeton. We have 40 volunteer drivers -15 deliver Meals on Wheels in the Rolleston area three times a week on behalf of Lincoln Community Care. We have approx 40 clients in the wider area. We also take referrals from social workers at the Public Hospital and locally. Most of our drives are to medical and hospital appointments and for these we ask for a small donation if the client is able to provide this. We also have regular drives to Day Clubs, Homeshares, and classes. We pay our drivers a milage allowance so fund raise for the shortfall between these two amount.
