Main activities and services

The Tourette's Association New Zealand (TANZ) has community support groups throughout New Zealand including Canterbury. TANZ offers monthly Zoom events such as chat groups for young people (age 11 to 19) as well as for adults living with Tourette Syndrome; and educational workshops and chat groups for parents raising a young person with Tourette Syndrome or a tic disorder. TANZ makes visits to schools and workplaces to offer ideas on how to best support an individual living with Tourette Syndrome and meets with families to share information on ways to support their young person. Each year TANZ hosts its hugely popular Camp Twitch for individuals living with Tourette Syndrome and their families. It also has an online support group on Facebook for registered members that is open 24/7.
