A plan change is a change to the district plan. This is a public process and can be initiated by council or by members of the public (private plan change).
To change the district plan, there is a process detailed in the Resource Management Act.
This process identifies where changes are formally proposed to the district plan and people have an opportunity to be involved, including to ‘have their say’ on the changes if they wish to. This would be through making a submission on the proposed plan change.
