Terms and Conditions – Event Series Promotion

  • The promotion is available for new event or activity series with a minimum of six events.
  • A new event or activity series is one that has not been held by the hirer at a Selwyn District Council venue within the previous 12 months.
  • The promotion does not apply to events or bookings confirmed before the promotion commenced.
  • All six qualifying events must be confirmed and take place on or before 30 June 2027.
  • The first three events are charged at the applicable venue hire rate. Events 4, 5 and 6 receive a 50% discount on the applicable venue hire charge.
  • Hirers are welcome to schedule more than six events as part of their series; however, the promotional discount applies only to events 4, 5 and 6.
  • A minimum of six qualifying events must be confirmed and paid for to receive the promotional discount.
  • If bookings are cancelled or changed so that fewer than six qualifying events remain, the promotional discount will no longer apply and any discounted charges may be adjusted to the standard applicable rate.
  • The promotion applies to venue hire charges only. Additional charges, including equipment, staffing, cleaning, security, bonds or other services, are not discounted.
  • The promotion is available at participating Selwyn District Council venues only and excludes Rolleston Community Centre, Te Ara Ātea, Lincoln Event Centre and West Melton Community Recreation Centre.
  • All bookings are subject to venue availability and Selwyn District Council’s standard venue hire terms and conditions.
  • The promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other venue hire discount, promotion or special rate.
  • The discount is not transferable, redeemable for cash or able to be applied retrospectively to existing bookings.
  • Selwyn District Council reserves the right to amend or withdraw the promotion where reasonably necessary.
