You can pay your rates by:
You can also:
Direct Debit
Direct Debit is our preferred payment method and means you’ll never forget to pay
With direct debit you give us the authority to take payments from your bank account automatically. This is the easiest way to pay – you only have to set up the direct debit authority once and we’ll do the work from there.
Weekly or Fortnightly
Weekly or Fortnightly payments are taken out on Wednesday or Friday.
Monthly or Quarterly
Monthly payments are taken out on the 10th and 20th of the month, or the first business day following. Quarterly payments are taken out on the normal date due (see below). All payments for the year ahead will be advised in writing in advance, at least 10 days before the first payment is due and at least 30 days before any change is made. You will still get a copy of your rates demand, for your information.
There is no extra cost to you for this service as we pay the transaction fees.
If you are selling your property you will need to contact us to cancel the direct debit authority.
If you have more than one property, please make sure you include the valuation numbers for each of the properties on the form.
Pay online nowWhen paying your Rates Notice, simply enter the Valuation Number as indicated in the Rates Notice (refer to the sample notice on this screen). Ensure that the correct information is entered, and that the payment reference/valuation number used is the same as that listed on your rates invoice. The Council will not be responsible for incorrectly entered information.
